Families have the chance to prepare for Eid Al-Adha together while preparing Arabic sweets like maamoul and kaak. It's a special occasion for kids, too, where clothes for young siblings are bought and Eid Al-Adha decorations are set around the house.

Everyone gathers at the grandparents' place for breakfast which is usually "sawda nayeh," "kebbe nayeh," "foul" and" fatteh". After breakfast, all kids gather to take their "eidiyeh" and taste the delicious homemade kaak!

4- The Gifting Traditions

Since this Eid is all about sacrifice and giving, all kinds of donations are accepted and distributed to the people in need. During Eid, it's important to keep in mind the less privileged and try to create a change in their lives by either donating or doing a small act of kindness. As for the gifting traditions between families and friends, people gift each other Arabic sweets prepared days prior like maamoul, kaak, and baklava.
